The diesel one, and the one that hauls
The Brahma is a different machine from the gas Bull and Longhorn, not a trim level. It runs a 993cc liquid-cooled three-cylinder diesel making 24 horsepower, and the numbers that matter are at the back: a 1,000 lb cargo bed and 2,000 lb of towing capacity, which is a third more bed and a third more tow than the gas models.
Diesel torque is the reason. Twenty-four horsepower sounds modest next to the gas engine's 47 until you're pulling a loaded trailer up a grade, where the diesel simply doesn't care.
Built as a semi-cab
The Brahma comes as a semi-cab with tempered safety glass front and rear and a windshield wiper, which is the difference between using it in weather and parking it. Seats have adjustable slide, tilt, and lumbar support, and there's a front trunk plus lockable under-seat storage.
Seating is for two, with the space given over to comfort and cargo rather than a second row.
Traction and clearance
Drive is 4WD with a dual-mode rear differential and differential lock, and ground clearance is 12.2 inches, the most of any Yanmar UTV. Tire options are a 26-inch paved tire on a 14-inch aluminum wheel, or a 24-inch turf tire on a 14-inch steel wheel if you're crossing finished ground.
Standard equipment
Plastic roof, side and rear-view mirrors, horn, universal key, amber safety strobe, reverse notification alarm, cargo bed mat, and turn signals all come standard.
