Stepless speed without the hydrostatic fuel penalty
The YT347 is built around the i-HMT, Yanmar's Integrated Hydro Mechanical Transmission, and it's the reason to look at this tractor over anything else in the lineup. A conventional hydrostatic transmission is easy to drive but loses power to fluid. A gear drive is efficient but makes you shift. The i-HMT splits power between a mechanical path and a hydraulic one, so you get stepless main shift with a high power transfer ratio and lower fuel consumption.
What that means in the seat: set a speed and it holds, clutch-free shifting, and you can stop the vehicle without touching a clutch. The engine is a 46-horsepower 4TNV88C four-cylinder Tier 4 diesel producing 39.5 HP at the PTO at working speed.
Electronic controls that earn their keep
The YT347 carries anti-stall, which backs off ground speed instead of killing the engine when a load spikes, and electronic cruise control for repeatable operating speed across a field. An A/B mode lets you store engine and vehicle speed settings and switch between them, and a throttle boost button gives you a burst without resetting your throttle. A large LCD display ties the controls together, and a 12V outlet and rear remote are standard.
The loader
The YL610 lifts 2,500 lb at the pivot pin to a maximum of 113 inches, with 3,969 lb of breakout force at the pins and 3,047 lb measured 500 mm forward. The 72-inch bucket holds 10.9 cubic feet, dump clearance is 88 inches, and a grille guard is standard. Loader control is a 4-way valve with joystick, and a third-function valve is available.
Hitch and hydraulics
The Category 1 three-point hitch lifts 3,307 lb standard and 2,756 lb at 24 inches behind the lift point, which is more than the gear-drive YM347 manages. Implement flow is 10.1 GPM with 5.7 GPM to fully hydraulic power steering. Travel is 0 to 18 mph in both directions across three variable-speed ranges.
