The KURO is Yanmar's special-edition take on the SA223, and the changes aren't only cosmetic. It rides on TR-34 crossover hybrid tires mounted on black wheels, a tread that splits the difference between turf and industrial so it holds on rough ground without tearing up a lawn. The operator gets an ergonomic contoured suspension seat with distinctive embroidery. The machine wears a deluxe grill guard and special-edition badging.
Underneath is the SA223 you already know: a 21.5-horsepower 3TNM74F three-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel driving a dual-range hydrostatic transmission, with standard differential lock and true position control on the three-point lift.
Who it's for
Yanmar rates the KURO for properties under 25 acres, and that's an honest number. It's sized for the owner who wants one capable machine for a small farm, a large yard, or a hobby property. It isn't built for a commercial outfit running hours all week.
What it lifts
The YL110 front loader lifts 825 lb at the pivot pin, breaks out at 1,342 lb, and reaches 71 inches at full height. The Limited Category 1 three-point hitch lifts 600 lb measured 24 inches behind the lift point, and the independent rear PTO turns 540 RPM on 15.6 HP.
Rear remote valves and a third-function valve are available as options if you plan to run hydraulic implements or a grapple.
