A subcompact tractor that does real loader work
The Yanmar SA325 is built for the property owner who has outgrown a riding mower but doesn't want a farm tractor taking up the shed. Its 23.9-horsepower 3TNV80F diesel is a three-cylinder, liquid-cooled 1.27-liter engine making 45.7 ft-lbs of torque, which is what actually matters when you're curling a full bucket of wet gravel uphill.
At 8.5 feet of turning radius it works between buildings and along fence lines where a bigger machine needs three attempts.
How much can the SA325 lift?
The YL210 curved-boom loader lifts 1,200 lb at the pivot pin with 2,090 lb of breakout force, reaching 79 inches at maximum height. That's enough to clear the wall of a pickup bed. It quick-attaches without tools, so swapping between loader work and a rear implement is a two-minute job.
Out back, the Limited Category 1 three-point hitch lifts 1,209 lb measured 24 inches behind the lift point, and the independent PTO puts out 18.1 HP at 554 RPM, with a mid-PTO at 2,057 RPM for a belly mower.
Twin-pedal hydrostatic drive
Two side-by-side pedals switch between forward and reverse without your hand leaving the wheel. In loader work, where you change direction every few seconds, that's the single biggest quality-of-life difference on the machine. Dual ranges give you 0 to 5.9 mph for precise grading and up to 12.3 mph to cross the property.
Selectable 4WD, wet-disk brakes, and hydrostatic power steering are standard, as are two rear remote valves and a 12V outlet. Hydraulic implements are ready to run the day you take delivery.
Choosing your tires
The SA325 is available with R3 turf tires, which spread the load and protect established lawn, or R4 industrial tires, which give you a tougher sidewall and better grip on gravel, dirt, and construction debris.
