The wider deck in the 200 Series

The YZ260 is the YZ252's bigger sibling: same 200 Series platform, same 7-gauge fabricated deck construction, but 60 inches of cutting width instead of 52 and a 24-horsepower Kawasaki FS730V to swing it. That takes productivity from 4.2 to 4.8 acres per hour.

The eight extra inches matter most on open lawn, where every pass you don't have to make is time back. They matter least on tight ground, where the 52-inch machine turns closer to a tree.

Deck and drive

The deck is 7-gauge fabricated steel, the same thickness Yanmar uses on its 35-horsepower machines. The HG ZT-3100 transmission gives a top speed of 8 MPH with the smooth, predictable response that makes trimming around beds less nerve-wracking than it sounds.

Comfort

A suspension seat with 1.5 inches of travel takes the worst of the ride out of uneven ground. Fuel capacity is 5.1 gallons, which covers most of a day at this cutting rate.
