Where Yanmar's zero-turns get serious
The YZ360 opens the 300 Series, and the jump from the 200 Series is bigger than the deck size suggests. Both cut 60 inches. What changes is everything driving that deck: a 27-horsepower Kawasaki FX850V commercial engine, Parker HTJ hydraulic drives, and a top speed of 11 MPH instead of 8.
Productivity goes from 4.8 to 6.6 acres per hour, which is close to a 40 percent gain on the same cutting width. On four or five acres that's the difference between a morning and an afternoon.
Longer warranty, and it says something
The 300 Series carries 5 years or 1,250 hours, with no hour limit at all for the first two years. Compare that with the 200 Series at 4 years or 750 hours. A manufacturer setting aside the hour cap for two full years is telling you which machines it expects to be run hard.
Ride and capacity
The seat suspension doubles to 3 inches of travel, and you feel every bit of it at 11 MPH across rough ground. Fuel capacity jumps from 5.1 to 12.5 gallons, so a long day doesn't turn into a fueling schedule. Rear tires grow to 24 x 12-12 with 15 x 6.0-6.0 front casters.
The deck stays 7-gauge fabricated steel, the same as every other Yanmar zero-turn.
