The big gear-drive Yanmar
The YM359 sits at the top of the YM3 Series with a 58.9-horsepower 4TNV98C-XNITL four-cylinder diesel of 202.4 cubic inches, putting 47 HP to the PTO. At 4,158 lb with ROPS it has the mass to use that power rather than spin the tires trying to.
Everything that makes the YM347 work carries over: the synchronized shuttle with eight speeds each way, the telescopic Category 1 and 2 hitch, 540/540E PTO, and 15.5 inches of ground clearance. The YM359 adds horsepower and hydraulic flow on top.
Where the extra power goes
Compared with the YM347, you gain 12.9 engine horsepower and 11.5 PTO horsepower. On paper that's a number. In the field it's the difference between a five-foot cutter working and a seven-foot cutter working, or between a baler that keeps up and one that makes you slow down at the heavy windrows. Implement hydraulic flow also rises to 10.2 GPM, so a loader and a rear implement can both be fed without one starving the other.
If your implements are five feet and under, the YM347 saves you money. Past that, this is the machine.
The loader
The YL605 lifts 2,500 lb at the pivot pin to 113 inches, with 3,047 lb of breakout force 500 mm forward and a 72-inch bucket holding 10.9 cubic feet. Dump clearance is 87.6 inches. Skid-steer quick attach, a bucket level indicator, and a grille guard are standard, and a third-function valve is available for a grapple.
Hitch and implements
The three-point hitch accepts Category 1 and Category 2 attachments, lifting 3,190 lb at the lower links and 2,750 lb at 24 inches behind. Telescopic lower link ends make hooking up a one-person job. Pin-style heavy-duty sway bars keep everything where you put it.
