The YZ460 tops Yanmar's zero-turn range on power and speed while keeping a 60-inch deck. A 35-horsepower Kawasaki FX1000V drives Parker HTG transmissions to a top speed of 15 MPH, and productivity reaches 9 acres per hour.

The YZ472 runs the same FX1000V behind a 72-inch deck, so on the YZ460 that same power is spread across twelve fewer inches of cut. In heavy grass that headroom is what lets it hold speed, and a 60-inch deck still fits through gaps a 72 won't.

Suspension that matches the speed

Seat travel goes to 4 inches, the most in the range, and at 15 MPH you need it. Rear tires grow to 26 x 12-12 with 15 x 6.0-6.0 front casters, and the machine weighs 1,487 lb, which is what keeps it settled rather than skittish at speed.

The deck is 7-gauge fabricated steel, consistent across every Yanmar zero-turn. Fuel capacity is 12.5 gallons.
